I welcome all of my terrific students with new IEPs for this school year🌺 2017/18
I always enjoy every unique day here since the 80s!!!!
The role of the Speech/Language Pathologist at HMN is to provide services that enhance over all communication skills related to common core standards . A Speech/Language Pathologist develops goals liked to standards for such areas as: fluency , voice, and language literacy skills.
I hold a MS in Speech Pathology , as well as my American Speech-Language-Hearing Association - Certificate of Clinical Competence. I have earned many continuing education awards- ACE (5).
I currently (2016) have my PEL with endorsements as well
I continue to maintain my Illinois Department of Professional Regulations license.
I report directly to our Director of Special services and staff as well as an amazing, talented, well respected, super great Principal Mr. R. Collins and Assistant Principal Mrs. Trowbridge.
I provide support for our super great general educational team, students with learning disabilities, students with low incidence disabilities requiring intensive support, support for our RTi team meetings, evaluations for students whose communication skills are disordered, consultations/co treatment sessions with excellent , caring Social workers, consultations with excellent caring OTs, direct therapy services weekly in many classes as well as my office, complete IEP paperwork in compliance with Special Education Requirements, progress monitoring information, parent phone calls and electronic discussions, act as a case manager for our students with IEPs, attend and lead extensive special education referral and reevaluation domains meetings, complete necessary medicaid forms monthly, maintain accurate confidential records, and complete our extensive evaluation process yearly.
Working on a daily basis with our wonderful population of adolescents is an invigorating experience. I can be contacted via E mail @ [email protected].
I enjoy garden challenges , summers as a water aerobics instructor, and my wonderful, amazing dogs- Sir Daddi O, and Miss Awgi Lu, as well as constant remodeling updates to our home with my husband:)
